Welcome to this small collection of the stories and poems of Galway and Mayo-based writer, Fergus Deffely. You can find out more about me on the About page.
My debut novel is The Fix, which takes place in a small town in the West of Ireland. The Fix is the story of one man’s unwitting descent into a world of petty-crime, power abused and vanishing trust. Now available for order through Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1799053199
A second book is now close to completion; The Disturbance, A Strange Tale of Cats and Alternate Worlds is a modern day fantasy for children of all ages. I hope to also self-publish this title.
Some of the earlier pieces you will find on this site were written following my participation in a series of creative writing classes chaired by Kevin Higgins and Susan Millar DuMars.
