Fergus Deffely grew up in county Mayo in the west of Ireland and was introduced to the arts in Galway city. He spent almost fifteen years working as a software developer, where he learned certain principles of design and construction which have found a new life in the dreaming and building of stories.
He is the father of two children, Dearbhla and Diarmuid, who have the unenviable task of keeping him on the straight and narrow.
He enjoys walking, music and storytelling.
